Particulatte turns a photo of your grounds into an actual particle size distribution.
How It Works
Spread your grounds on a plain white sheet of paper next to something a known size — a coin, or a 58mm circle traced from a tamper. The known-size object gives Particulatte a scale reference, then it identifies the individual particles in the shot, measures each one, and builds a bar graph showing the actual spread of your grind.
What You Get
Just a photo. No scanner, no lab equipment — a sheet of white paper, your grounds, and a coin or traced circle for scale.
Real distribution, not a guess. See the actual spread of fines-to-boulders in your grind, charted as a bar graph, instead of a single micron number from your grinder's dial.
Works with what you've got. A coin works as a reference object, or trace a 58mm circle off a tamper if you'd rather use something coffee-specific.
Compare grinds over time. Run it each time you dial in, and start building a real picture of how a grinder setting translates to particle size.
What It's Not
Particulatte is a photo-based estimate, not a certified lab sieve analysis — lighting, focus, and how evenly your grounds are spread all affect accuracy. Treat it as a genuinely useful read on your distribution, not a substitute for laboratory-grade equipment.
